Privacy Policy
This policy explains what data Botwright processes and why.
Data we hold about you
- Account data — your name, email address, a hash of your password, and your notification preferences.
- Discord account data — if you link Discord: your Discord user ID and username, and encrypted OAuth tokens used to list the servers you manage.
- Session data — the IP address and browser of each active session, shown to you under Settings → Security.
- Billing data — your Stripe customer ID, subscription status and invoice records. Card details are held by Stripe, not by us.
Data about your bots
- The bot's project (configuration and handler code) and its version history.
- The bot token and integration secrets, encrypted at rest.
- Runtime logs, analytics events and health samples, retained for the period your plan specifies.
- Records your bot stores about its servers (for example XP or balances), kept on a private volume.
Your bot may process data about members of the Discord servers it joins. You are responsible for that processing and for telling your community what your bot does.
AI processing
When you use the assistant, your request and the relevant parts of your bot's project are sent to the AI provider this service is configured to use (Anthropic or Google) to generate a response. Bot tokens and secrets are never included. If you ask for a diagnosis, recent error logs are included after secret redaction.
Service providers
We use providers to operate the service: an AI provider for the assistant, Stripe for payments, an email provider for transactional email, and infrastructure hosting. They process data on our behalf.
Retention
Logs and analytics are deleted automatically after your plan's retention period. Deleting a bot removes its versions, logs, analytics and stored data. Deleting your account removes your account data; billing records may be kept where the law requires.
Your rights
You can access and correct your profile in Settings, export a bot's project, and delete bots or your account. For anything else, contact us through the support page.
Cookies
We use one essential cookie to keep you signed in, and a short-lived one during Discord sign-in. Your theme preference is stored in your browser. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, we will announce it in the dashboard.
